Lions RECYCLE for Sight

According to the World Health Organization, an estimated 120 million people are visually impaired because of uncorrected refractive errors (far and near sightedness). The lack of eyeglasses denies children and adults opportunities for education, employment and a better quality of life.

Throughout the year, New Dimension Eye Care collects used prescription glasses, prescription sunglasses and readers for distribution on humanitarian service trips in various parts of the world where people may not have access to corrective eyewear.

Ryan Waters Memorial Charity Fund 2018 and 2019

Supported the Ryan Waters Memorial Charity through the raffle at the Ryan Waters Memorial Charity Golf Tournaments in 2018 and 2019. Proceeds from these events have provided financial assistance for recreational and educational needs of youth and families within the community.

Donated items to the “Springfest” raffle, with all proceeds being used for the upkeep and development of various school programs.

Dr. Kanji partners with the New England College of Optometry in Boston as well as various organizations within the Dominican Republic including the Batey Relief Alliance, the Lions Club of Santa Domingo, Gildan and Project Manana on annual volunteer humanitarian missions to provide eye care services to children and families in underserved areas of the Dominican Republic.
